Garlic bulbils are small, seed-like structures that develop on the flowering stalks of garlic plants. These bulbils are essentially tiny garlic bulbs that can be found in the scapes (flowering stems) that grow from the top of the garlic plant. While most garlic plants are grown from cloves planted in the ground, bulbils offer an alternative method of propagation.

Growing garlic from bulbils is a fun project and can be an economical way to scale a garlic production, however the time & risk factors should be a key consideration.

The process of growing mature garlic bulbs from bulbils involve 2-4 years of seeding & harvesting.
